Notice [Busan Ilbo] Human Theater Sports Day Without Last Place - Ki-guk's Family..

The 'Human Theater,' which will be broadcast from the 19th, tells the story of the Ki-guk family, the protagonist who touched the world with a single photo of 'A Race Without Last Place'.
October 2014, a fall sports day photo that touched the nation. In the photo titled 'A Race Without Last Place,' five children are holding hands tightly. Ki-guk (13) was always in last place for 5 years due to his shorter arms and legs than his peers. But the last fall sports day of 6th grade was different. The four friends who ran ahead waited for Ki-guk, who was running in last place, and held hands in front of the finish line. All five were in 1st place.
Ki-guk is a small boy in the 6th grade of elementary school with a height of 120cm. He was born with congenital achondroplasia, the only one among his normal parents and sisters.
Mother Lee Eun-ah (51) is always carrying a heavy stone in her heart, feeling that it is her fault that Ki-guk was born with a chromosomal mutation and a disability, wondering if it was caused by giving birth to Ki-guk at the age of 39, or if it was because she took medicine without knowing she was pregnant until 3 months into her pregnancy.
One day, 7 months into her pregnancy with Ki-guk, she was diagnosed with a disability. The father even had the cruel thought of not giving birth to the child, but he couldn't abandon the child, so instead, he prayed every morning. Ki-guk, who was born after such twists and turns, was like a jewel. However, before he was even a year old, the family began to feel that Ki-guk's development was different from other children. His head grew bigger, and his arms and legs did not grow.
Ki-guk, who is the youngest son like a daughter at home, is full of affection and has a kind heart, making him a son that is not too precious to put in one's eyes. The family is always laughing because of Ki-guk, but as Ki-guk grows up, conflicts between family members deepen. The family unintentionally hurts each other due to the problem of surgery for his increasingly bent legs, and Ki-guk worries alone, feeling that this discord is his fault.
Ki-guk will enter middle school this March. Mom and eldest daughter Hanna (28) took Ki-guk to a large hospital ahead of his middle school entrance. At the hospital, they hear the bad news that his left leg is bending. There are many things to resolve, such as who will take Ki-guk to the hospital instead of Hanna, who got a job after graduating from university, and how to pay for the hospital bills.
KBS 1TV 'Human Theater' 'Fly, Ki-guk!' will be broadcast from the 19th (Mon) to the 23rd at 7:50 AM.
