On the 7th, Mrs. Kim Yun-ok visited Korea University Guro Hospital to encourage child patients suffering from rare and intractable diseases and sponsored a portion of the proceeds from the Presidential Office Bazaar held last May as treatment costs.

Since October 2008, Mrs. Kim has been sponsoring the treatment costs of pediatric patients with economic difficulties and rare and intractable patients who are being treated at Korea University Guro Hospital every month. Mrs. Kim met with rare and intractable children and their guardians who were hospitalized in the pediatric ward and the orthopedic ward and said, “No matter how difficult and challenging the disease is, if you fight with strong will and hope, there will be good results. It will be tiring and difficult in the long and long fight, but never lose hope and be sure to overcome it.”

After that, Mrs. Kim took part in the music therapy program for child patients held at the Namchon Dream Class (psychotherapy room).

The encouragement visit was attended by Kim Woo-kyung, Director of Guro Hospital, Song Hae-ryong, Director of the Rare and Intractable Disease Center, and Yoo Ki-hwan, Vice President of Medical Affairs (Head of Pediatrics).

Mrs. Kim plans to continue using the proceeds from the Presidential Office Bazaar for child support, starting with the sponsorship of treatment costs for rare and intractable children on this day.
