美国约翰·霍普金斯大学小儿骨科迈克尔·艾恩教授（57岁）和
他的女儿凯拉（14岁）、阿莱克萨（18岁）。艾恩教授是世界唯一的侏儒症外科医生。
在美国约翰·霍普金斯医科大学担任小儿骨科教授的迈克尔·艾恩博士访问韩国，举办侏儒症健康讲座。
高丽大学九老医院表示，应迈克尔·艾恩博士和宋海龙教授的韩国矮身材残疾人联合会共同邀请，将于11月29日在高丽大学九老医院医生生命研究中心1楼大讲堂举办“矮小的人生”讲座。
迈克尔·艾恩博士是先天性四肢成长板未形成的软骨发育不全症患者，身高约130cm，是四肢短小的侏儒症残疾人，也是治疗侏儒症的小儿骨科教授。
本次讲座中，博士将讲述克服身体残疾，成为美国最佳名牌医科大学教授的努力和热情，以及美国目前正在进行的矮身材残疾最新治疗方法等。
此外，还将开设5个临时诊所，迈克尔·艾恩博士将亲自诊疗参加讲座的侏儒症患者。侏儒症患者及对侏儒症感兴趣的任何人都可以事先注册后参加讲座和诊疗。
Doctor Michael Ain (57), a pediatric orthopedic surgeon from the John Hopkins Hospital, and his daughters Kyla (14) and Alexa (18) have visited Korea.
Dr. Ain is the world’s only surgeon who has achondroplasia and treats others with the same disease.
He has been invited to Korea to talk about his life with achondroplasia.
The seminar will be held together with Dr. Hae Ryong Song, a pediatric orthopedic surgeon from the Korea University Guro Hospital.
Achondroplasia is a disease resulting in absence of bone growth and as such, his height is 130 cm.
The speech will have a focus on Dr. Ain’s work, describing his passion and efforts in treating achondroplasia.
Furthermore, he will be sharing his experience in overcoming the challenges commonly faced by achondroplasts.
Five clinics are planned to be set up at the Guro Hospital to diagnose and treat achondroplasts at the seminar. Anyone who wishes to assist Dr. Ain with consultations should register and submit an expression of interest.
