Incheon Catholic Social Welfare Association (President Father Lee Sang-hee) signed a business agreement with Daesung Foundation New Daesung Hospital (Chairman Hong Seok-won) on the 5th for medical support services. New Daesung Hospital is a 500-bed general hospital located in Bucheon-si, Gyeonggi-do.
Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to provide customized medical services to the vulnerable and underprivileged who are in the blind spot of welfare, and help them overcome crisis situations. Incheon Catholic Social Welfare Association recommends those in need of urgent medical assistance from each parish and local government/social welfare facilities for treatment, and New Daesung Hospital provides appropriate high-quality medical services followed by medical expense reduction benefits.
New Daesung Hospital, which operates the largest health promotion center in western Gyeonggi-do, also supports health checkups and non-covered medical treatments for social welfare workers under the Incheon Catholic Social Welfare Association. The Social Welfare Association plans to promote the donation culture by promoting medical support projects as well as follow-up measures such as living expenses support, sponsorship linkage, and aftercare for the beneficiaries.
This business agreement was concluded when New Daesung Hospital first expressed its intention to "help Catholic institutions" to the Incheon Catholic Social Welfare Association. Medical Director Song Hae-ryong (Vincent), a Catholic, pledged at the signing ceremony held at New Daesung Hospital that day, "We will practice the common good by providing customized medical services to the vulnerable in difficult situations and strive to develop welfare in the local community."
Father Lee Sang-hee, President of Incheon Catholic Social Welfare Association, said, "Thank you for suggesting a warm hand of support for the poor and marginalized neighbors first," and added, "We will actively cooperate to 활성화 medical support projects through this agreement."
