On June 15, 2009, an appointment ceremony for the Disabled Student Support Center was held in the office of the President of Korea University.

The operating committee members, besides Kim Han-gyeom, Head of the Disabled Student Support Center, included Professor Song Hae-ryong (Orthopedics), Kim Ik-hwan (Head of Administration), Seong Man-young (Head of General Affairs), Professor Park In-woo (Department of Education), Woo Chang-yoon (Head of Bfree Research Institute), Ahn Kyu-hwan (Researcher at Parkside Rehabilitation Hospital),
Professor Lee Young-ho (Department of Architectural Engineering), and Professor Kang Yoon-kyu (Department of Rehabilitation Medicine).
